Russian billionaire and American Olympic skier save stray dogs in Sochi

When the Winter Olympic games 2014 started, the population of the stray dogs in Sochi increased. But thanks to two men with big hearts – one American and one Russian – these homeless dogs finally found their home.

Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy, an American silver medallist, loves animals so much that he decided to adopt on of a stray dogs in Sochi. The female puppy was named Rosa and travelled to USA with its young owner.

Oleg Deripaska, one of the richest men in Russia, founded a dog shelter in Baranovka (a town near Sochi) where he placed around 150 dogs. Many of the rescued animals already found their homes.
