The best dog of the CRUFTS 2015 became the participant from Russia

The best dog of the CRUFTS 2015 became the participant from Russia MCVAN'S TO RUSSIA WITH LOVE - the black Scottish Terrier also known as Knopa became the Best in Show on the World Dog Show CRUFTS 2015.

Every year in Birmingham (England) the English Kennel Club organises the biggest show in a doggie world. CRUFTS visit more than 20 thousand participants from all over the world in order to reveal the best from the best dog. Unlike FCI the KC divides all breeds into 7 groups. So in the Final Best in Show participate only seven lucky ones.

This year the expert that evaluated best dogs was the former KC chairman Ronnie Irving. The Knopa’s contestants were other national and international champions:
  • Maltese CINECITTA' SASHA BARON COLEN (World vice champion 2014)
  • Flat-Coated Retriever NOUCH CASTLEROCK SIMPLY MAGIC
  • Toy Poodle MONTSERRAT CABALLE
  • Bearded Collie VICTORY WIND'S GHOST WHISPERER FOR SNOWMEAD
  • Alaskan Malamute CHAYO MY PREROGATIVE
  • Saluki QIRMIZI OVATION.

McVan's To Russia with Love - Knopa«Knopa is a wonderful Scottish Terrier. She is in excellent form, has great coat and moves great in a ring. She is really fantastic» - that’s what M. Ronnie Irving said about the winner.

It is not the first time when Knopa visited CRUFTS. In 2013 she got the title «Best of Breed».

Also by its five years Knopa won other titles: Best Dog of Russia 2010; Grand Champion of Russia and USA; Champion of Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Israel, Poland, Ukraine and Russia.

This fabulous Scottish Terrier was born in American Kennel питомника MCVAN'S. But it was Russian Kennel Gemma Stonehenge where Knopa has grown and was interbred. That’s why not only the dogs owner Marina Henkina is proud of her dog, but also her American handler Rebecca Cross.

«Oh my God, there were 21 thousand of other dogs, it’s really unbelievable! I was sure that the judge wouldn’t choose her. But she was wonderful this evening. Probably after the Show she will retire. That fact does the event more significant», - shared Rebecca Cross.

In fact, Rebecca could have been the reason of a gone title for the dog. Rules of the Show prohibit put dogs on the judging table holding their tail and neck like handlers do in America. But the Organizing Committee decided that the dog cannot be in charge of its handlers’ fault.

The Reserve Best in Show became the Flat-Coated Retriever NOUCH CASTLEROCK SIMPLY MAGIC from Club Assured Breeder, owner - Anette Dyren (Sweden).
