An awful car crash happened on Monday morning, 8th of June 2015, in Smolensk region (Russia). At 5 a.m. collided face to face the microbus Mercedes and a truck. In microbus were travelling dog breeders: Skoropupova Tatyana (1974, kennel “Nice Symphony”, Vladivostok), Baturina Maria (1975, kennel of Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers “Mariol”, Moscow), Boldyreva Darya (1992, handler, kennel of Chinese Crested Dogs “Little angels” (Malenkie angeli), Moscow), Hohlova Julia (1963, kennel of the Scottish Terriers “Paradise delight” (Raiskoe naslashdenie), Vanino). Breeders were transporting their 19 dogs to the World Dog Show 2015 in Milan: 3 Siberian Huskies, 1 Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, 2 Scottish Terriers, 6 Zwergpinchers, 2 Pinchers, 2 Basenjis, 1 Xoloitzcuintle. All people and dogs died.

These breeders devoted all their lives to breeds’ popularization in Russian regions developing the Russian cynology. Their dogs were multi-champions of different International Dog Shows with a great amount of titles.

The news about this tragedy reached Italy. Died Russian breeders were honored by a minute of silence on the meeting of the General Assembly of FCI.

We, Bracco Italiano owners, in California , USA, are so very sad to hear of this big loss of wonderful breeders/owners/handlers and some of their finest dogs. Our condolences go out to their families and friends--and ALL the dog world--in this time of this tragic loss.

Our hearts weep too.
