Dog swept up in flooded river saved

A dog was saved from potentially drowning in a flooded river when police came to its rescue. Footage shows officers running alongside the animal as it was being dragged along the swollen river in Colombia earlier this week. One policemen decides to risk his life and jumps into the river to save the dog. Policeman jumps into the river to rescue the dog (ITN) The men are then seen resuscitating the animal. According to reports, the dog suffered injuries by hitting rocks but is expected to make a full recovery. Western Colombia was hit by heavy rainfall on Monday. More than 60 people died in as mudslides and floods hit homes in the worst disaster of its kind in a decade. The officers resuscitate the animal (ITN)
